How to set the attachment sending in Maxoptra

Sending attachments from mobile application is possible either via mobile internet (the attachments are sent ever when a device is connected to Internet) or using Wi-Fi only (when a mobile device is connected to Internet via Wi-Fi). Using Wi-Fi only setting is enabled by default.

To set the mode of sending attachments from a driver's mobile device, contact Maxoptra support team.

How to make an attachment in mobile application

There are two ways of making an attachment in mobile device - by taking a photo or attaching a file from the device. 

To create an attachment to an order, click on the "Add" button in the order details in mobile application:

The mobile application will suggest you to select an action:

  • Select from gallery (to select a file from Gallery and attach it to an order)
  • Take photo (to take a photo from mobile device and attach it to an order)

Take a photo or select a photo from Gallery, add a comment if necessary and click on the "Done" button to create an attachment:

When you save an attachment the system sends data to Maxoptra server. Two scenarios are possible: 

1. Internet via Wi-Fi is available 

In this case, an attachment is sent in the background after it was created.

2. Internet via Wi-Fi is not available (only mobile internet is available) 

In this case, only the attachment's icon(s) or/and comment are sent to Maxoptra server. A file itself will be sent only by the request - when the dispatcher clicks the icon in Maxoptra web application. 

To download an attachment, go to the Track-&-Trace screen, select an order you need and click on its name or the "Attachment" button:

This action will open the "Attachment" screen where you can download the attached files:

Click on the "Download all" button to download all files at once or select one file to download or to delete it:
