Besides automatic planning, the manual activities can be performed on the Planning screen. They can be used both for entirely manual planning and for adjusting the results of automatic planning, as well as overcoming some limitations taken into account by automatic planning.

The following can be done manually:

  • In the Unplanned Orders section of the screen, click the unplanned order; this will highlight it on the Map. Drag and drop the order from the map to the appropriate point of the vehicle route. This will add the order to the corresponding route.

Note : There are several ways the user/dispatcher can use the drag and drop feature:

  1. Whilst holding down CTRL click on all the orders you would like to select and then simply drag and drop the selected orders from the map to the vehicle.
  2. Click on one order and then hold down CTRL. Whilst continuing to hold CTRL using the right button on your mouse you can now draw any proper shape on the map to select several orders at the same time. Then drag and drop the selected orders from the map to the vehicle.
  3. Right click on the order and assign it to any vehicle by choosing the vehicle color reference.

The unplanned order can also be added to the corresponding route directly from the Unplanned Orders area:

  • On the route timeline bar (on the vehicle card) right click and select ‘Deactivate’ for removing allocated orders and marking the vehicle not to be used in planning. Vehicles that were deactivated manually or by default can be activated to use them in planning again. See example below:
