The Map lies at the center and the bottom part of the Planning screen. You can use the Map in your scheduling process.

The following objects can be displayed on the map:

  • The Depots are displayed on the map by default.

  • The Orders. All Orders are repeated on the Map. To display an unplanned order on the map click on the order card within the Unplanned orders list on the right of the screen. This will display the order's drop off point on the map. To display all the unplanned orders on the map click on the  ("Show all unplanned orders on map") button. This will display the drop off point of each unplanned order. The order label at each point will display the end time of the drop off window for that order. The selected order displays a white label. Clicking the order label on the map highlights its name in the Unplanned Orders list. While displaying unplanned orders, the display button changes to  ("Hide all unplanned orders from map"). See an example below:

As we have two types of orders - delivery and collection orders - they are displayed on the map by two different markers:

Maxoptra considers that sometimes the dispatcher has multiple orders to be delivered to different customers allocated in the same location. The dispatcher expects Maxoptra to consolidate these orders on the map at the same point. The multiple order which is allocated in the same location will be identified on the map as a circle with the number of orders allocated in this “cluster”

You can expand or collapse a cluster to check the orders allocated in that cluster by one click on it. If the cluster orders have any special vehicle requirements the cluster will be surrounded by red line color to notify the dispatcher of special requirement is attached to that particular order.

When planning the orders you have a possibility to select several cluster orders at the same time and assign them to one vehicle by holding CTRL Key and selecting the clusters by mouse.

Hover a cursor over an order marker on the map to see the order information in the pop-up window.

  • The Route scheduled for a particular vehicle. Using the Map you can monitor all orders and all routes. Each route has its own colour. To display the routes on the map click on a route displayed on the route timeline bar. By then, clicking on the labels on the map it will highlight the relevant route on the route timeline bar. See an example below:

Note: The Routes can be displayed on the map in two different modes:

           a) The route drawn as a schema means straight lines connecting the adjacent route points, not taking into account the roads. This mode is a default one.

           b) The route drawn using geo routing means the route drawn along the roads. This mode is activated by clicking the  ("Show routes using geo routing") button on the upper toolbar.

  • The Vehicles. When the order details are sent to a driver and he starts the order, you can monitor the vehicle moving along the roads on the map.
