On the Breaks screen you can set the Break type and configure the dynamic breaks.
Types of Breaks
There are two types of breaks in Maxoptra - dynamic and fixed. Let us review them in detail.
Dynamic break
It is a type of break, where you can adjust the driver's non-working time by different parameters. Dynamic break is set by default. The following parameters are configured by default for each driver:
- Break duration (how long the break actually lasts) - the default value is 45 minutes;
- Driving time before break (for how long the driver can drive the vehicle before they can have a break) - the default value is 4.5 hours;
- Working time before break (total working time before break (driving + loading/unloading + other activities)) - the default value is 6 hours;
In addition to that, the Allowed break shifts setting can be used to provide more flexibility. This is time by which breaks can be automatically shifted. The default is 2 hours.
Fixed break
It is selected if you want your drivers to have breaks at certain time of the day regardless of what they are doing right now.
You can also set up the maximum break shift on the Driver form, allowing Maxoptra to shift the time of the break to optimally suit the allocated orders:
If you want to set the breaks for one particular day, you can do it on the Planning screen from the Settings window.
