To use automatic planning, you need to be subscribed to a tariff, which allows autoplanning. If you are, there will be a green play button available to you at the top of the Planning screen:

Simply click that button and have Maxoptra optimize routes for you:

During planning, Maxoptra will take into account all configured constraints like drivers availability, vehicles capacity, orders time windows and others to make sure none of them is violated. Within those constraints, Maxoptra will optimize the routes to minimize the total cost of the schedule. Depending on the number of orders and vehicles, planning will take anywhere from a few seconds to a few minutes.

Once planning is completed you can review the results on the timeline and on the map:

If Maxoptra is not able to allocate all orders within the defined constraints it will leave some in the Unplanned list. You can still add them manually even though it can cause a constraint violation. If you want to, you can change some of the parameters and run the planning again. For example, you've agreed to put more work on one of the drivers for a bit of overtime you can extend the hours and run the planning again.

When you run planning the second time Maxoptra will unallocate all non-locked orders and build routes again from scratch.

If you want to, you can manually plan some routes and have Maxoptra plan the rest. To do that, simply lock the routes you do not want Maxoptra to replan and run planning. All locked routes will not be changed during automatic planning:

You are also free to make any corrections after automatic planning has been completed. Simply use the drag-and-drop operations you use for manual planning.
