As a rule, a working day of a driver starts and ends at the depot. But sometimes there is no need for drivers to start their working day at the depot. For example, if a company is using sub-contractors and spot-hire vehicles, the working day can start at a driver's home address and end at the last order’s location or at some other location.

To cover this kind of workflow, use the Start and End points of day section in the Distribution centre form, where you can select locations, where drivers should start and finish their working day.

Note Once set in the Distribution Centre form, the Start and End points of day will be used by default for the newly created drivers of this DC. If you have drivers already created or if you have changed the DC start and end points, then you will have to set up the start and end points for each driver in the corresponding Driver form (see Start and End of day location).

How to Set up Start and End Points of Day in the Distribution Centre Form

Go to the Distribution centres screen of the Settings tab and select the distribution centre. Find the Start and End points of day section at the bottom of the DC form.
